Een verslagje uit een forum wat ik volg over machinaal bekappen.

Grinder vs Nippers

Iemand in mijn omgeving heeft een ijslander van 28 jaar oud, die nu ernstig hoefbevangen is. Op foto,s is een flinke hoefbeenkanteling te zien en al een vergaan van het hoefbeen.
Zou het zin hebben om dit paard nog te proberen te helpen met juiste bekappingen of maakt de hoge leeftijd en de slechte toestand van het hoefbeen dit hopeloos?
Zijn er mensen die ervaring hebben met iets soortgelijks?
