Een stukje wat ik van een webgroup geplukt heb.......

"I went to The Astros baseball game last night. As usual, I kept an
eye out for the mounted police and their horses.

I'll walk up and ask them if they would like to know how to help
their horses' hooves. Most of the time they are interested in what I
have to say. Then there was the time I started talking to one who
gruffly, informed me that he was the force's farrier. OOOPS! Closed
mind there!

Anyway, back to last night. There in the street surrounded by
admirers was a handsome officer sitting astride his gorgeous
Belgian/QH cross with the best hooves I've ever seen; Bare, of
course. We congratulated him and he told me he had graduated from
Martha Olivo's course last year and his horse was now fully sound
after having had on and off issues for years. The crowd was
impressed, too, when I pointed out that his magnificent draft hooves
were bare and perfect.

The force now has 20 barehooved steeds with the new policy that all
new horses coming on to the force will be trimmed this "novel new way".

Onward and upward!
